Dear Colleagues,
It is a great pleasure to invite you to the Lower Silesia – Saxony Innovation Forum on Active and Healthy Ageing on 22. May 2014 in Wrocław/Lower Silesia.
The objective of the conference is to present initiatives and innovative approaches that are suited to tackle problems linked to demographic change. The conference aims at enabling elderly people to stay in their own home for as long as possible and to properly support chronically ill patients, especially in rural areas.
Another objective of the conference is to enhance cooperation between regions and institutions that are concerned with active and healthy ageing. In this context, the cooperation between the Marshall Office of Lower Silesia and the Saxon State Ministry of Social Affairs and Consumer Protection is going to be introduced.

Ziel der Konferenz ist die Vorstellung von Initiativen und innovativen Ansätzen, die dazu dienen können, den Problematiken, die im Kontext des demographischen Wandels auftreten, zu begegnen. Dabei soll es unter anderem darum gehen, älteren Menschen einen längeren Verbleib in der eigenen Wohnung zu ermöglichen und chronisch Kranken eine bessere Unterstützung zu bieten, insbesondere auch im ländlichen Raum.
Ein Anliegen der Veranstalter ist es auch, die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Regionen, aber auch Institutionen anzuregen. In diesem Zusammenhang wird auch die Kooperation zwischen dem Marshall Office von Niederschlesien in Polen und dem Sächsischen Staatsministerium für Soziales und Verbraucherschutz vorgestellt.

Celem konferencji jest przedstawienie inicjatyw i innowacyjnych koncepcji, które są dostosowane do rozwiązywania problemów związanych ze zmianami demograficznymi. Wystawa sprzętu innowacyjnego, towarzysząca Konferencjj, ma na celu poinformowanie osób starszych aby mogli pozostać we własnym domu tak długo, jak to możliwe oraz jak prawidłowo wspierać pacjentów przewlekle chorych, zwłaszcza na obszarach wiejskich. Kolejnym celem konferencji jest wzmocnienie współpracy między regionami i instytucjami transgranicznymi, które zajmują się aktywnym i zdrowym starzeniem. W tym kontekście zainicjowana została współpraca pomiędzy Urzędem Marszałkowskim Dolnego Śląska i Ministerstwa Spraw Społecznych i Ochrony Konsumentów Saksonii. Ma ona na celu efektywne wykorzystanie środków w ramach nowej strategii finansowej.
